Undergraduate students:
Please review eligibility criteria for applying for:
(1) NSERC Undergraduate Research Award (due January 2020)
(2) University of Manitoba Undergraduate Research Award (due January 24, 2020) or
(3) University of Manitoba College of Pharmacy Undergraduate Summer Research Program (to be announced soon). 

​Please include the following: specifically why you are interested in working with the Kowalec research group, CV or resume, previous education (GPA, un-official transcripts), and previous research experience. If you have no previous research experience, please include another example of your work (e.g. a university essay or assignment). 


Postdoctoral researchers:
Please include information on your PhD degree dissertation, graduate courses and thesis advisor and please summarize your research interests and career goals. Please also include your experience with grant/fellowship/studentship writing and statistical analyses. Please identify 1-2 options for potential funding options (e.g. CIHR Fellowship,  MS Society of Canada Fellowship, Brain & Behaviour Foundation Young Investigator Award, or other disease/disorder specific funding agencies, etc.).

Consulting

  • Actively support clients with strategic insights into planning and executing scientific research studies, and in the analysis of pharmacoepidemiology and genomics data from population and speciality clinic-based cohorts.
  • Proficient with Data Processing and Statistical Analysis using R Statistical Computing Environment, Linux Computing Environment, SPSS, and SAS; Study Design, Research Grant Composition, and Phenotyping.​
